Types[]
Clear[]

- Extinguishes Fire (both on Blocks and the Player/Mobs).
- Damages Endermen, Snow Golems, and Blazes.
- Increases luck when fishing.
- Crops mature faster.
Snow[]
- Only snows in snowy biomes, like Taiga, and in cold biomes such as Extreme Hills, above a certain height but below y=128.
- Covers blocks with Top Snow.
- Bedrock Exclusive: Snow Layers obey Gravity.
- Bedrock Exclusive: During snowfall, Leaves in snowy biomes will slowly turn frosty.
Thunderstorms[]
- Decreases the light level to 7, making the sky dark, allowing Hostile Mobs to spawn during the day.
- Causes lightning to fall, causing () damage to be dealt to Players and Mobs.
- Can also create Charged Creepers from Creepers, Zombie Pigmen from Pigs, and Witches from Villagers.
- Usually a very rare occurrence.
- Skeleton Horse Traps have a chance of spawning.
- Sleeping in a thunderstorm is possible, regardless of whether it is night or not.
Trivia[]
- Cauldrons have a chance of filling up when it is raining.
- Bug: Rain and Snow used to fall through opaque blocks.
- This was fixed in Update 0.13.2.
- As of Update 0.16.0, Rain can be toggled through Commands.
- If the Player does this in a snowy biome, the same effect will occur with Snow.
