Update 1.2.13.1 |
Tridents are weapons that were added in Update 1.2.13.
Obtaining[]
The only way to obtain a Trident is by killing a Drowned.
Usage[]
Tridents are capable of both melee and ranged combat.[1]
- Players are able to throw them, but they cannot break blocks with them.
- Tridents have their own unique Enchantments.
- These are Impaling, Riptide, Channeling, and Loyalty (an Enchantment which returns the Trident to a Player once thrown.)
- Impaling does more damage to aquatic mobs. [2]
- The Riptide and Channeling Enchantments work only when underwater or exposed to Rain.[1]
Trivia[]
- This is the first weapon in Minecraft that can do substantial damage in both ranged and melee attacks.
- It has an 8.5% chance of being dropped from a drowned.
