The Stonecutter is a Block, formerly an interactive one, which was added in Update 0.6.0.
Obtaining[]
The Stonecutter can currently only be obtained in the Creative Inventory. Prior to Update 0.13.0, it could be Crafted.
Crafting[]
- 4 Cobblestone => 1 Stonecutter
(Crafting recipe has been removed from Minecraft since Update 0.13.0)
Usage[]
The Stonecutter used to be a substitute for Crafting Tables to Craft as there was limited space in the Crafting Table's MATTIS screen (Minecraft Advanced Touch Technology Interface System). However, in Update 0.13.0, the ability to Craft Stone-related Items was transferred to Crafting Tables.
Trivia[]
- Similar to the Crafting Table, the Stonecutter used the MATTIS system.
- Stonecutters, unlike Furnaces, could be crafted without a Crafting Table.
- It was also unofficially called a "Stone Crafting Table".
- Unlike the Nether Reactor Core, which breaks into 3 Iron Ingots and 6 Diamonds, it will not be broken into 4 Cobblestone and will drop itself when mined with any Pickaxe.
- Even though the Stonecutter has lost its function to Craft Stone-related items, the Player still has to crouch to place a Block above or beside it.
