Stone (a.k.a Smooth Stone) is a naturally occurring Block that drops Cobblestone when mined. It was added in Pre-Release.
Obtaining[]
Stone is the most abundant block in the Overworld, and can be easily mined with any Pickaxe to drop Cobblestone, which can be smelted to obtain a Stone block. It can be directly acquired using a Silk Touch Enchanted Pickaxe. It can also be obtained when Lava flows on top of stationary Water.
Crafting[]
- 4 Stone => 4 Stone Bricks
- 3 Stone => 6 Stone Slabs
- 2 Stone => 1 Stone Pressure Plate
- 1 Stone => 1 Stone Button
- 3 Stone + 1 Redstone + 2 Redstone Torches => 1 Redstone Repeater
- 3 Stone + 1 Nether Quartz + 3 Redstone Torches => 1 Redstone Comparator
Smelting[]
- 1 Cobblestone + Any Fuel => 1 Stone
Usage[]
Stone can be used to Craft mechanisms like Redstone Repeaters and Redstone Comparators. Silverfish can turn Stone into a Monster Egg with their ability to enter and hide inside of it.
Trivia[]
- Stone is renewable, because Cobblestone is also renewable.
- Stone can be used to create one of five variations of Monster Eggs when a Silverfish is spawned nearby.
- Stone Tools are Crafted from Cobblestone, not Stone.
- Bedrock's texture is the same as the texture for Stone, only higher in contrast.
