Obtaining[]
There are 4 different ways to obtain Red Mushrooms:
- Breaking Red Mushrooms found in shady areas
- Shearing Mooshrooms
- Mining Giant Red Mushrooms
- Breaking the Red Mushroom in a Witch Hut.
Usage[]
Red mushrooms can be used to craft Mushroom Stew and Rabbit Stew, and can be cooked to make Red Dye.
Crafting[]
- 1 Red Mushroom + 1 Brown Mushroom + 1 Bowl => Mushroom Stew
- 1 Red/Brown Mushroom + 1 Cooked Rabbit + 1 Baked Potato + 1 Carrot + 1 Bowl => Rabbit Stew
Smelting[]
- 1 Red Mushroom + Fuel => 1 Rose Red
Trivia[]
- In older versions, Mushrooms could generate without shade, allowing Mushroom-related items to be easier to Craft.
- Red Mushrooms can be grown into Giant Red Mushrooms using Bone Meal, as long as the space given is dark and big enough.
- Red Mushrooms can also spread if farmed in the dark.
- If grown on Mycelium or Podzol they can spread and grow in any light level.
- Red Mushrooms can spawn in the Nether.
- Red Mushrooms can grow on any solid Block except for Glowstone and Jack O'Lanterns.
- However, they cannot be placed on them (except Dirt, Podzol and Mycelium).
