There are two types of regular Pressure Plates.
- Stone Pressure Plate
- Wooden Pressure Plate

Pressure Plates can be obtained by Crafting them in a Crafting Table. In addition to being Crafted, Stone Pressure Plates can naturally spawn in Desert Temples.
Crafting[]
- 2 Wooden Planks => 1 Wooden Pressure Plate
- Note: The type of plank used will not affect the Pressure Plate
- 2 Stone Blocks => 1 Stone Pressure Plate
- Note: Cobblestone Blocks don't work, only Stone.
- 1 Stone Pressure Plate + 6 Iron Ingots + 1 Redstone => 6 Detector Rails
Usage[]
- Pressure Plates act as a power source when a Player, Mob, entity or Item stands or falls on it.
- Pressure plates can be used to activate Redstone devices, Wooden Doors, Iron Doors or Trapdoors.
- They are used to craft Detector Rails.
- They are naturally found in Desert Temple traps.
Trivia[]
- Wooden Pressure Plates will activate if an item falls on it, but Stone ones will not.
- This also works with entities and some falling blocks.
- Stone Pressure Plates only work while an object, player, or Mob stands on it.
- Pressure Plates are only 1/16th of a block.
- When activated, they are half that size.
- If placed on a block around a Door, the Door will auto open (and close) when the Player is going out, and close the door automatically when going inside.
- When underwater, Pressure Plates create Airlocks.
- There is a variant of Pressure Plates called Weighted Pressure Plates.
- Bug: In Update 0.13.0, Mobs would get hurt when touching a pressure plate.
- Bug: In Update 0.15.0, when Players walk into a Button or Pressure Plate, it is rendered as a full block, making them see inside it.
- The wooden variant of pressure plates can be used as Fuel in a Furnace.
