Poisonous Potatoes are a type of Food that were added in Update 0.12.1.
Obtaining[]
Poisonous Potatoes can be obtained by harvesting Potato crops, as an uncommon drop (a mere 2% chance), or by killing Zombies (a 2.5% drop).
Usage[]
Poisonous Potatoes are dangerous to consume as they will poison the Player for 4 seconds when eaten, similar to Spider Eyes.

- Poisonous Potatoes have a slightly different texture than normal Potatoes, being slightly smaller, and having a greenish color.
- Poisonous Potatoes are often considered useless Items, as Eating them harms the Player and they cannot be planted again.
- There is a 40% chance that the Player will not be poisoned by eating one.
- Poisonous Potatoes do not restore any Hunger points.
- As of Update 0.13.0, Poisonous Potatoes have a 1.25% chance to be found in a Dungeon Chest.
- Villagers will not pick Poisonous Potatoes when farming a Potato crop.
- Poisonous Potatoes are one of the five foods in Minecraft that can poison the Player, the others being the Spider Eye, Rotten Flesh, Pufferfish and Raw Chicken.
