Podzol is a Block that was added in Update 0.9.0.
Obtaining[]
Podzol generates naturally only in Mega Taiga Biomes. Unlike Mycelium, it does not spread to other Dirt Blocks.
For the Player to pick it up a Silk Touch Enchanted Tool must be used, or else it'll turn into Dirt.
Usage[]
Podzol is the Block used to grow Spruce Trees in Mega Taiga Biomes. Mushrooms can grow on Podzol on any light level.
Trivia[]
- It has similar qualities to Dirt, except Grass cannot grow on it.
- Podzol cannot be converted into Farmland or Grass Paths.
- Podzol takes longer to mine than Dirt.
- Dead Bushes can be placed on Podzol.
- Moss Stone can be found in the Mega Taiga Biome on top of Podzol.
- Flowers can be grown on Podzol as if it were normal Dirt.
