Llamas are Neutral Mobs added in Update 1.1.

Spawning

Llamas spawn in Savanna and Extreme Hills Biomes, in herds of 4-5. They typically spawn atop hills.

Behavior

Llamas are Neutral, but become Hostile if attacked, spitting at their attacker once and dealing damage. Llamas are naturally Hostile to untamed Wolves and will attack them even if unprovoked. Wolves will run away from Llamas on certain occasions. Llamas will not attack a tamed Wolf unless provoked. If a Llama accidentally spits on another Llama they will begin to spit at each other.

Taming

Llamas can be tamed, as with Horses, however even when riding one their direction cannot be controlled. A Lead may be attached to a tamed Llama which will cause surrounding Llamas, tamed or not, to follow and form a caravan. A caravan may contain up to ten Llamas, though this can be increased by leashing another Llama and forming another caravan. Llamas are bred using Hay Bales.

Storage

Llamas can be equipped with Chests and decorated with Carpets. The amount of slots in a Llama Chest depends on the Llama. A Llama can have as little as three Chest slots, or as many as fifteen Chest slots.

• Llamas can spawn with their color being either brown, cream, gray or white.
  • The Wool color depends on the Biome.
• They are one of the five tamable Mobs, the others being Wolves, Ocelots, Parrots, and Horses.
