Levers are Blocks added in Update 0.13.0.
Obtaining[]
Levers are generally obtained through Crafting. They also generate naturally inside of Jungle Temples and Woodland Mansions.
Crafting[]
- 1 Stick + 1 Cobblestone => 1 Lever
Usage[]
Levers can be placed on any fully opaque Block, or on the top of any upside-down Slab or upside-down Stairs, and are used to power Redstone Items.
When flipped, Levers will emit a Redstone signal with a strength of 15 that will activate most Redstone-related Blocks, such as Iron Doors and Redstone Lamps. Levers can also be used for Decorative purposes.
Trivia[]
- Levers can sometimes camouflage with Cobblestone since their textures are similar.
- Unlike Buttons, Levers will produce a permanent energy signal until they are switched off.
- Using a Lever on a curved Minecart Track will cause the curving Rail to switch.
- A Lever can be placed under Water, creating a temporary Airlock replenishing the air supply of the Player.
- Using a Lever in off position next to a Hopper disables the Hopper.
