Update 0.14.0 |
Item Frames are Blocks added in Update 0.14.0. They are used to provide a visual display of Items and blocks. The item inside the Item Frame can be rotated eight different ways.
Crafting[]
Usage[]
Item Frames can be used for decorative purposes, as they can display the Item or Block that is inside them.
Item Frames can also generate a Redstone Signal using a Redstone Comparator by rotating the Item or Block inside them. The strength of the Redstone Signal depends on which rotation the Item is.
Trivia[]
- Bedrock Exclusive: Item Frames in Pocket Edition are Blocks instead of entities.
- When Blocks or Items are named and are displayed in the Item Frames, their names will show when tapped.
- When 3-D blocks are placed inside Item Frames, only three-fourth of the block is seen, since the rest of the Block is hidden behind the Item Frame.
- Item Frames in Minecraft Bedrock uses the Minecraft Java Edition 1.9 sounds for placement and the rotation of the Item inside the Item Frame.
- The border of the Item Frame has the same texture as Birch Planks.
- Bug: In Update 1.0, there was a duplication bug on Multiplayer using Item Frames. When removed, the item in the Item Frame would drop 2 of its kind instead of 1.
- However, this bug was later fixed in Update 1.0.3.
