Iron Trapdoors are Blocks that were added in Update 0.13.0.
Obtaining[]
Iron Trapdoors are obtained by Crafting them in a Crafting Table.

- 4 Iron Ingots => 1 Iron Trapdoor
Usage[]
Iron Trapdoors can be used as barriers to trenches, underground pits or structures. They serve as more sturdy and safe barriers, since they can only be activated through a Redstone signal. This can be used to trap Mobs (and Players) into certain areas, or restrict access.
Trivia[]
- Similar to ordinary Trapdoors, they are also considered as solid blocks by mobs, and therefore can be similarly used as a component in automatic mob farms.
- On servers, the Player doesn't need Redstone signals to open Iron Trapdoors; they will open like normal Trapdoors.
- After Update 0.15.0, Iron Trapdoors and Trapdoors will no longer break once the supporting blocks are removed.
