Iron Ore is a mineral Block that was added in Update 0.1.0.
Obtaining[]
In Infinite Worlds, Iron can be found commonly in Caves in Levels 1-64. It spawns in Mineral Veins of 2-8 Blocks, sometimes more. It can also rarely be found above ground near exposed areas of Stone.
It can be mined with a Stone Pickaxe or above.
Smelting[]
- 1 Iron Ore + Any Fuel => 1 Iron Ingot
Usage[]
Iron Ore is used to obtain Iron Ingots by smelting it in a Furnace. It can also be used as a Decorative Block.
Trivia[]
- Even though the Ore was added in Update 0.1.0, it couldn't be smelted into Iron Ingots until Update 0.3.2.
- Iron Ore is the second most common Ore after Coal.
- Iron Ore can never drop the ingot, and must be smelted like Gold Ore.
- Therefore, the amount it drops isn't affected by the Fortune Enchantment since it drops its base Ore instead of the actual mineral.
