Hoes are Tools that were added in Update 0.4.0.

Obtaining

Hoes can be obtained by Crafting them in a Crafting Table.

Crafting

• 2 Wood + 2 Sticks => 1 Wooden Hoe
• 2 Cobblestone + 2 Sticks => 1 Stone Hoe
• 2 Iron Ingot + 2 Sticks => 1 Iron Hoe
• 2 Diamond + 2 Sticks => 1 Diamond Hoe
• 2 Gold Ingots + 2 Sticks => 1 Golden Hoe

Usage

Hoes are used to till Dirt and Grass Blocks to allow them to grow crops and plants. Hoes can also be used on a Coarse Dirt block to turn it into a normal Dirt block.

Trivia

• All types of Hoes till dirt at the same rate. They only differ in Durability.
• Hoes can be enchanted .
  • However, they can only be enchanted by Mending and Unbreaking.
• It doesn't use Durability if used to mine, unlike other tools.
  • However, it cannot obtain any stone-related blocks.
• All Hoes do the same amount of damage and take the same amount of time to break Blocks.
• Players used to be able to obtain Seeds by using a Hoe to till Grass Blocks.
  • However, this was removed in Update 0.12.1, as breaking Tall Grass became the main way to obtain Seeds.
