Granite is a Block added to Minecraft in Update 0.9.0.

Obtaining

It spawns in patterns similar to Gravel, so it may appear in large veins underground. It may sometimes also be found on the surface or on the side of mountains. Granite can also be Crafted.

Crafting

• 1 Nether Quartz + 1 Diorite => 1 Granite
• 4 Granite => 4 Polished Granite
• 3 Granite => 6 Stone Slabs

Usage

Granite can be used to Craft Stone Slabs or Polished Granite, the latter being a more clear variant of Granite.

Trivia

• Granite was added to Pocket Edition before it was added to PC and Consoles. This made it a version exclusive feature at the time, like Diorite and Andesite.
