Ender Pearls are Items which were first added in Update 0.14.0, but came into proper use in Update 1.0.
Obtaining[]
Ender Pearls can be obtained by killing an Enderman, or can be found as loot in Strongholds. As of Update 1.0.4, Ender Pearls can also be Traded for using Emeralds.
Usage[]
Ender Pearls can be thrown to teleport to the location of impact, dealing 5 damage (
) to the user and consuming the item. Once thrown they will be consumed. Ender Pearls have a 5% chance to spawn Endermites when used. Ender Pearls have a 1 second cooldown before they can be used again.

- 1 Ender Pearl + 1 Blaze Powder => 1 Eye Of Ender
Trivia[]
- Bug: After an Ender Pearl is thrown and hits the ground, it will often produce Egg particles instead of Ender Pearl particles.
- Although Ender Pearls can be thrown, they cannot be shot out from a Dispenser or a Dropper.
- Ender Pearls were added with Cameras in Update 0.14.0, but were unobtainable without external editors, inventory editing, or mods until Update 1.0.
- Ender Pearls will slow down when in contact with Cobwebs.
