Eggs are Items that were added in Update 0.7.0.
Obtaining[]
Eggs are dropped by Chickens every 9-10 minutes.
Crafting[]
Usage[]
Eggs can be used in Crafting recipes related to Food. They can also be thrown, which has a 1/8th chance to spawn a baby Chicken. There is also a 1/256 chance of 4 Chickens spawning from a single thrown Egg. Throwing Eggs also counts as an attack, but does no damage.
Trivia[]
- Prior to Update 0.8.0, the eggs worked similarly to Spawn Eggs, in that they would sometimes spawn adult chickens.
- In Update 0.8.0, this was changed so that only babies would spawn.
- Eggs break when thrown into a Nether Portal.
