Double Tall Grass was a Block added in Update 0.9.0. It is essentially Tall Grass, except taller, being about the same height as the Player.

Obtaining

Double Tall Grass spawns naturally, and is more common in Plains and Taiga Biomes. It can also be created artificially using Bone Meal on Tall Grass. Destroying Double Tall Grass by hand has a chance of yielding Wheat Seeds. Using Shears, however, will cause the block itself to be dropped.

Color

Depending on the Biome, Double Tall Grass will be tinted in a different color:

• Hot Biomes – Yellowish
• Cool Biomes – Darker Green
• Neutral Biomes – Lighter Green

Usage

Double Tall Grass is mainly used for Decoration.

Trivia

• If The Player positions himself/herself within Double Tall Grass, Hostile Mobs will not be able to detect them.
• Rarely, Double Tall Grass will grow underground in Dirt piles.
