Diorite
diorite is a decorative block added to Minecraft in Update 0.9.0.
Obtaining[]
Diorite, like Andesite and Granite, spawns similar to Gravel, so it may appear in large veins underground. It may sometimes also be found on the surface or on the side of mountains. Diorite can also be Crafted.
Crafting[]
- 2 Cobblestone + 2 Nether Quartz => 2 Diorite
- 4 Diorite => 4 Polished Diorite
- 3 Diorite => 6 Diorite Slabs
- 6 Diorite => 4 diorite Stairs
Usage[]
Diorite can be used to Craft Stone Slabs or Polished Diorite, the latter being a more clear variant of Diorite.
Trivia[]
- Before 1.8 for Minecraft Java Edition, Diorite was an exclusive feature to Minecraft.
- Diorite, along with Granite and Andesite, spawn more often on the surface than Stone (with the exception of the Extreme Hills Biome).
