- It is the most durable Axe, and it is the second-fastest Axe, the fastest being the Golden Axe.
- It can also be used as a weapon, as it can do as much damage as an Iron Sword (7 Attack Damage).
- It is easier to craft after Caves were released in Update 0.9.0.
- Diamond Axes can be Enchanted with Sharpness after Update 0.12.1, along with the normal Axe Enchantments (Efficiency, Unbreaking, etc.).
