Cactus, or Cacti, is a Block that was added in Update 0.1.3.
Obtaining[]
Cacti can be naturally found in Desert and Mesa Biomes.
Smelting[]
- 1 Cactus + Any Fuel => 1 Cactus Green
Usage[]
Cacti can be smelted into Cactus Green Dye, and used as a defence as it inflicts 1/2 heart damage () to Players and Mobs when in contact.
Trivia[]
- Mobs in contact with Cacti will make no attempt to move away.
- Cacti cannot be grown using Bone Meal.
- Cacti grow rapidly near waterbeds.
- Items that come into contact with Cacti are destroyed.
- This can be dangerous as the Player can lose all of their Items if he/she dies due to cacti damage.
- The maximum height a Cactus can grow is 3 Blocks, however, Cacti can be found up to 5 Blocks tall.
- Like Chorus Trees and Sugarcane, if the block below the Cacti is broken, all blocks above it will also break
- Any falling Block next to Cacti will destroy the Cacti itself instead of the falling Block.
- Cacti can be placed in Flower Pots.
- Cacti can only be placed on Sand or Red Sand (in any Biome) and cannot be placed if another Block is adjacent to it.
