The Block of Redstone is a Redstone-related Block that was added in Update 0.11.0.
Obtaining[]
Blocks of Redstone can be obtained by Crafting them in a Crafting Table.

- 9 Redstone => 1 Block of Redstone
- 1 Block of Redstone => 9 Redstone
Usage[]
A Block of Redstone is used as a power source that can power adjacent Redstone devices and ignite TNT. It is also a compact way to store Redstone.
Trivia[]
- It served as a Decoration until Update 0.13.0, when Redstone Mechanics were added.
- Unlike Redstone Torches, as a power source, Blocks of Redstone can be moved around by a Piston.
- A Block of Redstone cannot generate light, unlike Redstone Ore which generates light when touched.
- They emit a 15 block Redstone signal.
- Unlike a Redstone Torch, a Block of Redstone always emits a Redstone signal: it cannot "burn out," or be turned off.
- The Block must be broken or moved to stop the signal output.
- By combining Sticky Pistons and Redstone Blocks, the Player can make self propelling devices.
- Unlike in PC, if a Sticky Piston pushes a Block of Redstone upwards, the Piston will not get stuck.
