Update 0.9.0 |
Andesite is a Block added to Minecraft in Update 0.9.0.
Obtaining[]
Andesite spawns similar to Gravel, so it may appear in large veins underground. It may sometimes also be found on the surface or on the side of mountains. It can also be Crafted.
Crafting[]
- 1 Cobblestone + 1 Diorite => 1 Andesite
- 3 Andesite => 6 Stone Slabs
- 4 Andesite => 4 Polished Andesite
Usage[]
Andesite can be used to Craft Stone Slabs or Polished Andesite, the latter being a more clear variant of Andesite.
Trivia[]
- Andesite is sometimes found near Granite and Diorite.
- Andesite in its polished form can be used to craft Stone Bricks, unlike the PC Version.
- Thus, Polished Andesite could be used as replacement for Stone.
- This feature was removed along with the Stonecutter.
- However, they can still be used to Craft Stone Slabs in place of Stone.
- Andesite is one of the few blocks added in Update 0.9.0 that can be found commonly in Old Worlds.
