Is there a way, and if so, to place a stair block in a certain postion while using thd /fill command? For example, when a use the fill command on stairs, they always face up, and on an incline facing north, is there a way to change both of these presets? Thanks in advance.

The trick to doing this is to use the tiledata value part of the /fill command. Values from 0 through 3 changes the direction, and if you add 8 you'll flip the stairs upside down.
